Sony did register a third new camera in Indonesia…A7V, FX3II and one more surprise model?
Dclife spotted a new Sony camera registration with the code WW295750. All we learn from this is that the camera is manufactured in Thailand. Now we have a total of four recent camera registrations. One of these is for the newly announced Sony FX2 (we still need to find out which one). This means that at least THREE(!) cameras will be announced in the next 3-4 months.
Here are the details of these registrations:
- Code “WW934774” manufactured by Sony Shanghai and registered on on April 21: Cinema line and video products such as FX9 and FX6 (So this could be valid for the FX2).
- Code “WW697160” manufactured by Sony Japan and registered on May 9: Usually those are for high-end products such as the α1II, α9 III, and A7rV
- Code “WW084220” manufactured by Sony Wuxi and registered on May 23: Low to mid-range products such as ZV-1F, ZV-E10M2, α7 IV, and α7C
- Code “WW295750” manufactured by Sony Thailand and registered on June 19: Sony A7, A7c, A7s, ZV cameras are made here.
Historically, Sony announces actual cameras within 3-4 months of registration. So, if Sony follows this pattern, we will definitely have many exciting announcements between July and October! One should be the A7V, another could be the FX3II, while I still have no idea what the third model could be. What are you hoping to see?
