To be announced soon: New Sigma 85mm f/1.2 FE lens!
How long were SAR readers waiting for Sony to make a 85mm f/1.2 GM lens. We ain’t getting it yet but we are getting the next best thing: Sigma is rumored to announce a new 85mm f/1.2 Full frame E-mount lens by end of this month.
I have no other info yet but I expect the lens to be priced close to $2.000.
It remains surprising that this is one of the FEW areas in the E-mount system where we do not offer any lenses (see the full list of 85mm E-mount lenses here). This will be the first 85 mm f/1.2 autofocus full-frame lens!
I’ll let you know as soon as I have more details about this lens, but in the meantime, let me know what you think about this new lens and whether you’ll be buying it!
