About those rumors: I have no idea who sent them and 90% of the times they turn out to be wrong. But, it happened in the past that a couple of those were right. So I will post them today, and we all together can eventually keep track of this. If one of the sources turns out to be right than we will know we can trust it a bit more!

Source 1:

Sony ‘s second 8K Full Frame E-Mount camera will be the alpha 7S IV, then is the alpha 7R V.
So the alpha 7S IV will be a 40+ megapixels camera with same extreme High-ISO performance as alpha 7S III.
It added XAVC HS/S 8K 10bit 4:2:2 and XAVC SI 10bit 4:2:2 in 8K.
This Camera can output Full Frame 8K up to 30p, Full Frame/Super 35mm Oversampled 4K up to 60p, Full Frame Pixel-Binning 4K up to 120p. The video quality of alpha 7S IV in 4K can be higher than alpha 1.

Source 2:

The ILCE-9M3 is a special camera which using the same body as ILCE-1, but drop the Mechanical Shutter Drivee. It has a new Exmor RS sensor which using the same ADCs as the ILCE-1. ILCE-9M3 has only 2 ms readout speed at 14b A/D. So Mechanical Shutter is no need, and thanks to the that, ILCE-9M3 can lighter than ILCE-7C.

Source 3:

A9 iii = no mechanical shutter. Camera weight is lower than A7c.

Source 4:

I’ve heard about a 100mm f1.4 GM on a Chinese social media.

Source 5:

High end aps c camera this year new design new naming.

Source 6:

A9iii is gonna be lighter than 7c because of shutter removal.
Looks like flash sync is 1/500s.

Source 7:

SONY is developing a high-speed camera without mechanical shutter. Around 24MP, high speed readout Type 2.7 ExmorRS CMOS.

Main improvement:
– 14bit 20FPS until cards are full
– 30FPS with buffer limitation
– of course it will have FF SS 4K60p, but 120p is locked out
