Sony A55 reviews and Sony NEX-VG10 impressions
The korean website SLRclub posted a new detailled Sony A55 review. As you might now they publishe the text as a jpeg so you can’t translate it with any computer software. Anyway there are so many image samples and graphics that makes it worth to check it out.
Luminous Landscape is testing the Sony A55 and now writes that “I continue to be impressed by the A55, though when used alongside the A900 the EVF does leave something to be desired. Image quality doesn’t though, and while only 16MP vs 24MP, IQ is excellent, displaying at least two stops lower noise than the A900 at higher ISOs.”
Also the japanese Ascii.jp (google english translation) website tested the Sony A55.

2 years ago |Me too. I was going to wait for a77 but who know how long it would take although i personally believe a77 will be GREAT. I will just get a55 and will go up to a85 or a99. Or to nex vg10

2 years ago |I’m thinking the same way. I want to buy an A580 in November to use it until the A7x/A7xx gets released and then switch to that new model. In the other hand I’m very tempted to sell all my gear and switch to a Nikon D7000 and start bulding a Nikon system. Very confusing days for me.

No way you’ll see an a7xyz before next fall.

2 years ago |I think that’s wrong. I think we’ll see it before the end of Sony’s fiscal year. In other words, in the first quarter of 2011, or before. And I suspect that the D7000 isn’t on the same level that the A77 or A7xx will be.

2 years ago |Don’t be impatient guys. At the PMA 2010, Sony promised the a7xx for THIS year, alongside with the NEX and the 4,0/500 and the 2,0/24. Well, we have seen the NEX, the 2,0/24, a prototype of the 4,0/500 and the (fiscal) year is not over yet. Perhaps the a7xx will be a Christmas present? Or a PMA 2011 event?

It upsets me to say it but sony have been too long with the a7xx camera’s, too little too late…
