Sony RX1 Amazon preorders shipping on Tuesday (and new reviews).
Some SAR readers have been notified that their preordered Sony RX1 will ship next Tuesday December 4th via Amazon (Click here). Yesterday European Sonystores (DE-UK-FR-IT-ES-NL-SE-FI-CH) also started to ship the camera. Don’t forget that you can save some money by buying the $7 cheap chinese metal hood (there is one here on eBay) instead of the original expensive Sony hood.

6 months ago |I asked Sony customer service why B&H and Amazon will receive the RX1 2 weeks before the Sony Store (USA) customers. This is their reply:
“Thanks for shopping with Sony!
Other reseller get’s their Sony merchandize in bulk intended for reselling that is why they can dictate the availability of these items. Sorry but the estimated date of shipment is 12/19/2012.
