Three days only before the new Sony NEX-5R announcement and multiple stores are now selling the NEX-5N with a nice $100 discount at Amazon (Click here). Same price drop on the Body only (Click here) and on the Silver kit (Click here).

The NEX-5R will very likely be priced at $699 (with kit lens) and compared to the current NEX-5N it will have a faster AF, Wifi and APP support. Coming on Wednesday. The NEX-6 will be announced in September while I don’t know when Sony will announce the new NEX lenses.

On August 28th we will very likely see the two new NEX cameras and three new NEX lenses. This is now the lowest price I have ever seen for the A77. You cna get it for $1,838 with 16-50mm kit lens at Amazon (one left). And for $1,238 you can buy the A77 body only again via third party reseller at Amazon (plenty of them in Stock). Just a reminder. The A77 successor will arrive in mid-late 2013 only. And no other APS-C SLT model will be announced this year. So these price drops have nothing to do with a possible replacement.
