Adobe contacted us and told us this:

Hi there- Sorry for any misinformation. We haven’t changed the standard 20GB Photography plan, it’s still available here: adobe.ly/2Y5WxT3 or via phone at 1-800-585-0774 We’re just currently testing photography plans with higher levels of storage. ^RR

But I find it odd that they simply have removed this $10 basic plan option from the official Adobe’s pricing page. To me this looks like they are simply trying to do some damage control in the short-term. My bet is soon the $10 option will be gone anyway…

Reminder:.Capture One for Sony for the price of $109!

As reported by PetaPixel Adobe did remove the $10/month basic plan. The minimum you have to pay now is $20/month (see Adobe’s new pricing here).

Now do yourself a favour and buy Capture One for Sony for the price of $109. I use it and I am very happy with it. Yeah I know it’s always a pain to make a software switch. But once you get over with it you will be happy to not pay a monthly fee!

BCN collected the March-April japanese sales shares of the top five entry level Full Frame cameras. It aggregates POS data of home electronics retailers and EC shops across the country (around 40% of entire country sales). The data shows something very unexpected: Yes the Canon EOS-RP had a good sales start in the week of March 11. But sales quickly dropped.

Currently the three competition cameras from Canon (RP+R) and Nikon (Z6) all together sell less than the amount of the A7III…WOW!

Of course this is representative for the Japanese market only but the trend seems to be confirmed by the (non scientific) Amazon US Best Sellers ranking where the A7III scores much better than the competition.

Sigma CEO Yamaki had a chat with Imaging Resource. And he made it very clear that “brand-new lens designed for the short flange-back system should be available some time this year.” What’s also clear from this interview is that these lenses will be designed for the 20mm flange distance of the L-mount and than simply modified to fit the flange distance of Sony E-mount too

…”Surprisingly good. They like the optical performance of those lenses. It’s better than I expected. But there also are some people waiting for the lens design for the short flange-back, so we are also working on it”

Market is shrinking.
Yamaki believes the market will shrink further: “Maybe [down] 20 to 25% from now, that’s my guess.”

DSLR vs Mirrorless:
…”the market is changing from DSLR to mirrorless much quicker than I thought.“…..”Eventually, I think the majority of interchangeable-lens cameras will be mirrorless.“
