And the Dutch site Fotobooms says the price of the lens is €1979. Not sure this si really the 100% correct final price. And the Danish site Kamerhuset priced it at 22.495 Danish Crowns (3.344 US Dollars in today’s currency).

We got some more news about the new Kickstarter founded Meyer Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 E-mount lens

1. Shipments to Kickstarter backers have begun with some first images coming out online (Facebook and on Flickr)
2. Fulfillment to Kickstarter backers will continue through March.
3. New sales will be fulfilled on a first come first serve basis as soon as the Kickstarter is completed.

Small surprise: Today Sigma announced the new MC-11 electronic adapter. It comes in two versions: Canon EF to Sony E-mount and Sigma SA to Sony E-mount. It allows you to use full electronic aperture, IBIS and autofocus control.

UPDATE: That news was officially posted first on many Spanish sites like Quesabesde and DSLRmagazine. It now has been removed on request from Sigma. probably Sigma Spain did a mistake to post the news before the official announcement date which could be February 23.

For the more than 80,000 photographs that have been necessary for filming this timelapse, it has been entirely using technology Zeiss and Sony Alpha 7 Series
