Our reader Yukai (Thanks!) made this comparison between the four 85mm f/1.4 FE lenses: The Samyang, Sony GM, current big Sigma FE and the new Sigma lens that will be announced on August 6. If the comparison is accurate it shows the new Sigma is going to be the smallest of all of them.

UPDATED: Of the over hundred Sony A7sIII youtubers test I only saw TWO reporting an overheating issue. It’s Dan Watson:

Now, I am pretty sure that because they are the only one having that issues this might be a setting issue or more likely an issue on this particular preproduction unit. I hope Sony will lend them another unit just to be sure that this is indeed only a single preproduction unit issue. That is not uncommon with preproduction samples :)
