I got word that in February Sony will announce some sort of video oriented E-mount camera. I am not sure what this might be but my guess for now is that this could be Sony’s first E-mount drone camera?

I don’t know if this is a typo but one source wrote it’s a “ILME videocam“.

A reliable source told me Sigma will very soon announce a new E-mount zoom lens. I have no specs yet to share. Not sure it is the rumored 70-200mm FE or another zoom. I will knwo more about this soon. Stay tuned!

Nokishita spotted those images of the new Sony wireless mic. They write:

Sony’s unreleased wireless microphone “ECM-W2BT” has also passed FCC certification. The scheduled release date of the material is March 1, 2021, so it should be announced later this month.

Sony Japan published the CP+ virtual booth page. There is yet no info about possible new product announcement but my guess is that there is a very HIGH chance we will get new cameras/lenses. Sony has already registered a total of five cameras in Asia and we know new GM lenses are on the roadmap too (including updates of current GM zooms). The one camera most of you are waiting for is the A7IV. Not sure this one is going to be announced at the CP+ show yet…

Nokishita spotted some new additions of Sony camera registrations in Asia. In total we now have five! Here they are:

1. “WW447485” with 5GHz Wi-Fi (means it’s a Higher End camera)
   
2. “WW728473” 5GHz Wi-Fi (means it’s a Higher End camera)
   
3. “WW356015” 2.4GHz
4. “WW186333” 2.4GHz
5. “WW111327” 2.4GHz

Usually once a camera is registered it will be announced within the next 2-3 months. This means there is a lot to come! We know about a new RX and of course the nw A7IV (rumored specs here). But what could be the other three new cameras? Place your guess in the comment system ;)
