This year Sony announced the A7rIII, RX0IV, A9 and the niche oriented RX0. This is the lowest number ever since 1998 (where we had also four cameras only). This is the sign of the times. Smartphones killed the compact camera lines and manufacturer are now oriented on the high-end market only. These are the numbers showing this decline:
