This is the accurate size comparison between the new Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 FE and the current 28-75mm FE. The new Tamron lens will be announced tomorrow at around 7am London time.

It has the same 67mm filter diameter of the 28-75mm lens.

I just received this image from an Asian reader. There is a chance this image shows the first Yongnuo FE autofocus lens. The lens could be announced as early as in March. We have no specs yet but if you know something please drop me a message at sonyalpharumors@gmail.com. Thanks!

Yongnuo currently has a bunch of autofocus lenses for Canon and Nikon on sale here on Amazon US and BHphoto.

Image on top shows the 16-35mm f/2.8 GM. Tamron will give us an alternative for that one :)

In two days (February 20) Tamron will announced their next new FE autofocus lens: The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD for Sony FE. I have no images yet but this is for sure going to be an exiting and much cheaper alternative of the 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens.
I have no info on the pricing yet but the lens will be quite a bit smaller and lighter than the Sony although the focal range is smaller too. Still this lens is meant to be used for travel and that’s why Tamron did prioritize the size and weight.
This will be Tamron’s second FE zoom after the 28-75mm FE. That lens is selling so well that Tamron did increase the price in January (get it at BHphoto, Amazon, BuyDig, FocusCamera and Adorama. In Europe at Amazon DE and WexUK).

I can now confirm with 99,999% reliability that Sony will announced new products within the next 7-8 days. Journalists have been invited to various locations for a Sony product launch event.

What to expect:
New 135mm f/1.8 GM lens
Hopefully some other new E-mount lens (100mm f/1.4, 500mm f/4.0 and 600mm f/4.0 have been patented by Sony. Also rumored are a possible launch in 2019 of the 35mm f/1.8 G and a new APS-C zoom.

What to NOT expect:
No A7sIII yet
There is a reliable rumor about a new E-mount camera launch within June. But it shouldn’t be announced yet at the WPPI show. My guess is that it will be announced in May-June.
