You can now preorder the new Sony 50mm f/2.8 FE macro lens at Adorama, BHphoto, Amazon and FocusCamera. And in Europe at Cyberport and Wexphotographic. The lens will start shipping out on September 30.

Zeiss announces the Lightweight Zoom LWZ.3 21-100mm/T2.9-3.9 T* (for your Sony FS7)

Zeiss just announced the new Lightweight Zoom LWZ.3 21-100mm/T2.9-3.9 T*. it has an interchangeable mount system and can be fitted onS ony E-mount cameras too. Zeiss writes:

Calibrated scales, consistent imaging quality across the entire image field, no vignetting and focus shift, the efficient reduction of reflections through the well-known ZEISS T*® anti reflective coating and the color matching with lenses of the Compact Prime CP.2 family complete the overall package.

The ZEISS LWZ.3 will be available from the end of January 2017 at a retail sales price of EUR 9,900 (incl. 19 % VAT), or USD 9,900 (excl. VAT).

Sony announced a bunch of new products at the IFA in Berlin. There is the new 4K action camera but no new A or E-mount stuff (as expected). A full list of the new products can be found at sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Press/201609/16-078E/index.html

P.S.: Don’t be disappointed there are two more Sony press events this month that can bring us some excitement or some more disappointment :)
