Photoblog.hk posted that “soundcheck” of the A77II at 8 and then 12 fps. Quite Impressive! Remember that Nikon D7100 and Canon 70D competition can “only” go up to 7fsp. (SR5) Sony A65 will not get a successor.

The image on top is part of an officially released Sony A77II slide. It clearly shows the A65 will not get a successor. And also there is no A58 and A99 successor to come the next couple of months :)

Note: The “AA7” was the Sony internal code name for the A77II.

Yesterday there were some problems ordering the A77II on European Sony online stores. These have now been solved (only issues left on the UK store). Here are the links: Sony A77 body or kit at Sony Germany, Sony UK, Sony France, Sony IT, ES, NL, BE, AT, CH, PT, NO, SE, FI. And in UK you can also preorder at Wex UK. The Germans tore says the camera will ship between May 23-26. See screenshot below:

A77MII invitation for the May 7 Hong Kong event.

I like the new Sony strategy that splits up the product announcements in many pieces. Today a trusted source confirmed the Sony May 7 announcement! I am still not 100% sure if both, the RX100M3 and the A7s pricing will be announced. Looking at the Hong Kong flyer this must be an A7s news too.
