Sony launched new deals in US. And the NEX-7 has now the lowest price ever seen:
The NEX-7 got a new $50 price drop at Amazon, Adorama and BHphoto.
NEX-5r also got a new $50 price drop at Amazon, Adorama and BHphoto.
And so the NEX-3n again at Amazon, Adorama and BHphoto.

A brand new Sony patents describes a new kind of adapter having a Lever. Sony says that this “makes it easier to attach or detach the accessory to or from a device main body” (Source: FreePatentsonline).

Sony Japan (Source DC.watch) delayed the launch of the new Zeiss 50mmf /1.4 A-mount lens because of the “exceptional high demand”. The lens should have been shipped from may but now the date has been postponed to July 26. BHphoto (Click here) still reports July 10 as shipping date but I am sure that they will change it soon. Meantime Rokinon announced that the new Tilt Shift lens will ship next week (See Bhptoto).

After years of losses Sony is finally back to profit!
Sony has officially doubled its profit forecast for the fiscal year that ended on 31st March, raising the tally from ¥20 billion ($201m) to ¥40 billion ($403m). Sony had “luck” because the depreciation of the yen helped them out. Also the financial service division had a stronger performance than expected. There is still no info about the digital imaging business but full Sony report will be released on May 9th.
It will be interesting to read in their upcoming report what theit forecast is. As I told you this week we will likely have only one new interchangeable camera this year. This surely doesn’t help to generate cash this year.
