Short review at DigitalJournalOfPhotography (Click here): “The NEX-7 is capable of delivering hugely detailed files unmatched by rivals using an APS-C sensor, though the standard kit lens isn’t a particularly strong performer. Sony desperately needs to widen the E-series range adding more high-quality primes such as the superb Sony Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 Sonnar T*.”

Photoheadonline (Click here) tested the 50mm f/1.8 lens: “Shooting only a Close Up test on a lens usually doesn’t warrant a decision on whether a lens is worth buying or not, but in this case I feel very comfortable recommending this lens.”

Finally reviewers decided to test a new A77 review :)
The merit goes to TheVerge (Click here) who writes: “Ever since I got my hands on Sony’s NEX-7, I’ve had high expectations for the company’s digital cameras. For the most part, the A77 lives up to them..The A77 is an excellent camera that will serve most people very well, but it’s hard to recommend it over the Nikon D7000, the Canon EOS 60D, or even Sony’s own NEX-7, which takes equally fantastic pictures and videos in a body far smaller and at a price far lower.”

Jochem De Vet (Click here) posted the video you see here o top of this post. Actually he had a quite nice idea! Read that: “As a former Canon user I have made the switch to the Sony A77. Soon I began noticing that there was little talk on the web about the Sony Alpha A77’s video/film capabilities. The A77 is not embraced by the videographing community. My idea is that it should be, because it is one the most powerful hdslr’s on the market. To showcase the power and beauty of the A77 I’ve selected a few clips from talented filmmakers on Vimeo who had the guts to switch and try something new.”

Here are a couple of links to the Sigma 30mm and 19mm lens reviews:

SLRlensreview (Click here) tested the 30mm lens on the Sony NEX camera: “Sigma’s entry level prime indeed bests Sony’s lens in resolution department. Everything else seems to be very comparable. So the recommendation is to choose Sony’s E 30/3.5 if you’re into macro photography, while for everything else just go with Sigma’s 30/2.8 EX DN.”

30mm first look at Photographybay (Click here): “So far, the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 EX DN looks like a real winner for Sony NEX cameras as a fast walkaround lens.”

Another 19mm lens test on the NEX-5n can be seen within a forum post at Fred Miranda (Click here): “I think this little lens holds it own, with a muted contrast/high detail rending all it’s own, excellent ergonomics, and a ridiculously low price.”

Also Photographybolly (Click here) is testing the 19mm lens: “In conclusion, for $200 this lens is great value for a very good lens. If you already have the 16mm you might decide to give this lens a miss. If you don’t, having used both, I would recommend the 19mm over the 16mm.”
