I finally got confirmations form sources (Thanks!) that Sony is going to have a BIG announcement between mid November and early December. Don’t have the exact date yet! But my guess is that we will get this stuff:

take this with a grain of salt. I tried to purchase the Sony A1 ii from a reputable realtor in NYC and they are stating that they don’t stock the A1 ii anymore because the mark 3 is set to be released in a month or two… not sure I believe that
It’s clear now that there won’t be a new Sony A1 III anytime soon. However, if the latest information is accurate, we might soon see a Sony A1 IIa — essentially the current A1 II, but with an updated LCD panel. Sony has done this before, most recently with the release of the “new” Sony FX3a, which followed a similar minor-update strategy.
