RUMOR: Sony Alpha launch roadmap will be affected by the Coronavirus epidemic

Share

I just got this:

I heard extremely concerning news regarding the Coronavirus and the impact it will have on Sony’s production line and roadmap. We can expect product launched to be very delayed along with much lower capacity in production volumes for many of their current imaging products.

Thanks to the source for the info. And yes, please let me know more about Sony’s roadmap….for example about new FE lenses and A7IV :)

Sigma 24-70mm FE will ship from February 20 at BHphoto

Share

A new Stock of lenses will finally ship out on February 20 according to BHphoto. And exactly one week after Sigma might announce the new 70-200mm f/2.8 FE :)

Photographyblog just posted the Sigma lens review and concluded:

In terms of its optical performance, it’s tack-sharp in the centre throughout all of the zoom range, with sharpness only falling off a little at f/2.8 at the very edges of the frame. It also produces some very nice bokeh effects thanks to the 11-blade iris diaphragm.

There’s some vignetting at wide-open apertures, barrel distortion at 24mm and slight pincushioning at 70mm, but all of this can be corrected either in-camera or during post-processing.

Auto-focusing proved to be very quick on the Sony Alpha A7 III that we tested the lens with, and manual focus over-ride at any time is a great feature.

Overall, the new Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN Art is a very well-built, very fast standard zoom lens that delivers superb image quality at a frankly unbelievable price, and is therefore a more than worth winner of our highest award.
