(SR4) More colored NEX cameras coming soon (+ a SR1 rumor)

As you know Sony announced the gold NEX-5. Now, according to our sources Sony will soon announce many new colored NEX cameras. I know this is not an exciting news but I guess this is what we have to expect to be announced at the upcoming CP+ shows which will be held in February.

There is only one anonymous source that believes a new NEX camera is coming but that rumor is rated SR2 (not reliable rumor form new source): The source claims to have seen the new NEX-7. It features a 14.1 mpx sensor, a high-res 16:9 articulating LCD screen and that t will be announced within one month! As I said, I don’t believe in this.

But before you start complaining against Sony listen carefully. I expect tons of new real products to be announced starting from the second quarter of the year! So please faith a little bit more time. I bet you will NOT regret it!

Reminder (SR = Sonyrumor):
SR1=probably fake rumor
SR2=rumor from unknown sources
SR3=50% chance it is correct
SR4=rumor from known sources (60-80% the rumor is correct)
SR5=almost certainly correct!

What kind of new nex camera’s would be introduced this summer?
Only colour updates or more then that? I’m just one inch away from buying a sony nex 5n, but if there will be a new version within 5 months I guess it’s better to wait, what do you guys think?

How about an silver, white or metallic orange sony a77 ? Can’t wait till september for the a77. I want it so bad I would still buy it if it comes out in hello kitty pink

That’s absolutely fine with me. Don’t know what you have, guys, really… If Sony manages to sell eight NEX3 to one Japanese girl makeing her contributing eight times to the development costs of the real stuff this is great news in my eyes! And the best: It comes for free: Zero development resources (man power, costs) involved….

theoretically, the closer distant lens to the sensor gives better IQ then a further one. mirrorless actually has better IQ. the kitlens on nex is somehow far more sharper then Alpha DSLR with kitlens.

it did not “just happen to come with it” it was designed to HAVE those. the outlook is the one just happen to come with it.

It’s sad, but my sister decided to buy a Sony VIAO because it was sparkly white. Doesn’t care what’s inside the laptop – just as long as it’s white and sparkles. We’re devolving as consumers.

Gunnar do not underestimate Japanese girls when you deal with fashion.

Remember NEX heavily emphasize on style, not about the pictures. The quality of the pictures just happen to come with them.
If you want quality, go get an alpha.
If you want A77.. err.. when it comes out?

Maybe that IS what people want. And if people go on summer vacation they buy a real camcorder for video.

Yes, this is obviously the reason behind this. I can see where the professionals would gain an advantage with coloured cameras compared to only having 21 black cameras, all with different lenses

Hmmm… Tons of products? Sounds good 500mm f/4 would already weight one ton, so seems about right, hehehe nice, nice, I personally can’t wait for new lenses and have some (futile?) hopes for new long macro lens, f/2.8 standard zoom, upgrade of expensive primes to SSM, 70-200 f/4, TS lens…. Well, this would make me happy, hehehe

this IS obviously a pro feature, how else should you easily tell apart the many nexes in your bag, all with different lenses attached ..well as long as sony keeps the black ones for the first releases(nex7) i dont mind a wave of girly colors afterwards

u may wan to search for the e-mount (NEX) lens roadmap for your own knowledge. i searched nikon & canon website but i couldnt find any mirrorless interchangeable camera. or do u mean olympus & panasonic? lol

those colours are wonderful… pls dun complain to limit my choice. what kind of vacation that a NEX3/5 couldnt accomplish?

Well, obviously some group of consumers buys these goofy color options or we wouldn’t see industry giants like Sony continue marketing them. These are cameras for the PSP consumers. I’m ready for just ONE camera for PHOTOGRAPHERS. Are you listening, Sony? Please give us an upgrade path.

Cognratulations Sony. Changing colors of your camera is a great technological progress.

However, it would be good if your management and designers, would finally notice, that your cameras have only few lenses and that fact alone makes them nearly USELESS for some applications. Are you going to introduce any macro lens and portrait lens before 2020 ????
What about decent flash? what about remote flash? Did you hear ever about remote flash? If not, please visit Nikon or Canon web site.
