You can print the hood and grip for your RX1/R.
SAR reader Nicholas Foley sent me this:
I designed a 3D printed hand grip and 3D printed hood for the RX1 / RX1R which I think look better, function better, and are cheaper than everything else for the RX1. Maybe of interest to your people, they can be purchased through Shapeways:

UPDATE: Sony manager Otake says: With the next event we will get a new camera and lens!
Sony manager Otaka spilled out some info about the future Sony product launch cycle. He said:
今後は新しいボディが出たら新しいレンズが出る、新しいレンズが出たら新しいボディが出る、といった感じに思っていてほしい。
which translated means:
“From now on, if we release a new body, we’ll release a new lens. If we release a new lens, we’ll release a new body.”
The latest two Sony announcements where about new lenses “only” (Zeiss Planar FE in July and the 50mm FE and 70-300mm FE in May). So it’s great to hear we are now getting new cameras too!

This is the worldwide effect of the Sony sensor production stop in Kumamoto…
What happens if you stop the sensor production in one single Sony factory? CIPA published the new worldwide camera shipment figures and they show that never in the modern digital camera market history shipment were as low as now!
Sony restored the full sensor production capability in August only (3,5 months after the production stop). And the effects of that will last til early 2017.
