Two years ago Zyoptics launched the very fast 135mm f/1.4 lens as an E-mount version (see image on top). Today Zyoptics announced the lens will be available as native A-mount version too. Not sure how many A-mount owners will go for this lens as we already have the the superb Zeiss 135mm f/1.8 A-mount (here at [shopcountry 54214]).

Only few customers asked for a resolution increase. That’s why the A7rIII still has the same Megapixel number as the A7rII: “yes, some customers want even higher megapixels. But a majority of customers requested different areas of development such as longer battery life, for instance or faster autofocus, or even the picture quality in low-light conditions. So considering that kind of feedback, we decided which way we should go for the third generation, based upon the customers of our Alpha 7R-series.“
Technology development moves faster than expected so customers sometimes don’t ask for certain things sony can actually do
Unlike the A9 the A7 series is made for a wider range of customers (male, female, young, senior). And for that range body size matters.That’s why the A7rIII kept the same light size/weight.
Sony did decide to NOT adopt XQD cards because accessibility of those cards is still limited

This is definitely good news as it shows Sony is aware of the issue and actually knows how to fix this. Let’s hope there is a firmware fix coming soon for current Sony A7/A9 cameras!
Samyang AF 35mm F2.8 FE Firmware Version 0.2 is now available for download. Improvements:
It fixes an issue where ‘Fast Hybrid AF’ is not working in 6 cameras models when the focus mode is set to ‘AF-C’ and focus point is set to ‘Wide’ or ‘Zone’.
How to update:
1) Download the firmware on your computer
2) Download the Samyang Lens Manager software on your computer
3) Connect Samyang Lens Station to your computer with the lens attached
4) Firmware will be automatically updated
