Sony announce new SSD series for fast and compact data storage

Sony is expanding its External Solid-State Drive (SSD) range with a brand new top of the range SL-E series. This new model is a stylish, high-capacity external SSD that is small enough to put in your pocket but powerful enough for high-speed and safe data transfer.

Designed with the needs of professionals such as architects, engineers and researchers in mind, the handy external solid-state drive is smaller than a credit card, so you can take it anywhere and with up to 960GB of storage you can keep all your important files with you all the time.

Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art priced at 1.999 Euro?

SAR reader Eric sent us the link to a Lithuanian Store that listed the new Sigma 105mm f/1.4 lens for 1.999 Euro. I don’t know if that’s really the final price. If it is I would expect the US price to be around $1,999 too (it’s listed at BHphoto now with no pricing).

UPDATE The new Sigma 70mm macro ART lens is listed with a price tag of 999 Euro.

First review of the new Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 FE lens: “dream lens for a very low price”

The German website krolop-gerst.com (google translation) posted the full review of the new Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 FE lens. And here are their findings:

Positives:
– They liked the small size and light weight of the lens.
– The Tamron is nearly as sharp as the more than two times more expensive Sony 24-70mm GM lens.
– The Tamron also comes surprisingly close to the Zeiss Otus quality!
– CA is not an issue
– Autofocus seems like to work as well as Sony native lenses

Negatives:
– Missing focus button on the lens.
– Missing MF-AF switch
– 28mm at the wide end and not 24mm

Conclusion? Dream lens for a very good price!
