The new features:
Magic Brush
Make complex masks in a split-second, so you can accurately focus your edits on any area of your photo. Simply doodle over the area you wish to mask using the Magic Brush and Capture One fills in the rest for you.
It’s fun to use – and the result is a precise and refined mask for perfect accuracy in your editing.
Effortless Export
Make exporting quick and easy – we’ve redesigned the Exporter so you get the entire suite of options, all in one place. Plus, we’ve added a powerful Proofing Viewer that visualizes your final photo with all your output settings applied – guaranteeing a perfect result before you export. And for an even simpler workflow, you can now replace images on export – one of our top-requested export features!
Show images in subfolders
It’s now easier than ever to keep track of all the photos in your Catalogs. We added the option to show images across subfolders when you’re browsing Catalogs – one of our most–asked-for organization features!
Synchronize new subfolders
Always keep your Catalog in sync with your hard disk – and cut down on the time you spend manually importing photos. Capture One now synchronizes new subfolders that are waiting on your hard disk and aren’t yet part of your Catalog.
Zeiss ZX1 review by Dpreview: “It’s striking”
Zeiss ZX1 camera at BHphoto, Adorama and Fotokoch. There are also a ton of ZX1 accessories (listed at BH).
Dpreview published the full Zeiss ZX1 review and concluded:
The ZX1, as the result of such a venture, was always unlikely to be as polished as the tried-and-true designs we’re accustomed to seeing (which are often finely honed from decades of ergonomic design experience and user feedback). But the ZX1 succeeds in making an impression. It’s striking. So while I can’t wholeheartedly recommend that the ZX1 is the fixed-lens compact camera that everyone should rush out and buy, it will, for the right person, spark joy and reward them with excellent image quality and a singular user experience. Exclusivity, after all, carries a different price tag for everyone.

Wild Rumors roundup: A7IV, new videocamera, macro GM lens…
About those rumors: I have no idea who sent them and 90% of the times they turn out to be wrong. But, it happened in the past that a couple of those were right. So I will post them today, and we all together can eventually keep track of this. If one of the sources turns out to be right than we will know we can trust it a bit more!
Source 1:
Reviewers just received the A7IV for testing in the field. Release date is more than likely September/October.
30MP sensor is correct.
Source 2:
Hi, I was told that the finalisation of the A7IV got postponed again due to current chip prices. As a result it’s expected the A7IV won’t be released in 2021. Some niche versions / variations of current camera models could be released instead in 2021.

Tamron 18-300mm E lens announced!
TAMRON Announces Development of its First Lens for Sony E-mount
The world’s first1 16.6x all-in-one zoom for APS-C mirrorless cameras
July 21, 2021, Commack, NY – Tamron Co., Ltd. announces the development of its first lens for FUJIFILM X-mount and Sony E-mount cameras simultaneously. The lenses are expected to be available in the Fall 2021.
Since the launch of the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036), a fast-aperture standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras in 2018, TAMRON has continually expanded its line of lenses for Sony mirrorless cameras. The popularity and wide adoption of these lenses prompted many user requests for the manufacture of the lens for other camera brands.
As a specialist in the all-in-one zoom lens category, TAMRON recognized the potential to develop the first all-in-one zoom lens for the FUJIFILM X-mount. The 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A2 VC VXD (Model B061) is the world’s first all-in-one zoom lens for Sony and FUJIFILM APS-C mirrorless cameras featuring a 16.6x zoom ratio. To provide the pleasure of photography to more people around the world, TAMRON will continue to develop unique products and expand the number of lenses compatible with more camera brands.

[2] Di III-A: For APS-C format mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras
Overview of the 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061) features
The 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 covers a wide zoom range from approximately 27mm to 450mm (full-frame equivalent focal length). The first APS-C mirrorless camera zoom lens in the world with a 16.6x zoom ratio, the lens delivers the benefits of a versatile all-in-one zoom lens ideal for a broad array of photographic possibilities. Its AF drive system uses TAMRON’s linear motor focus mechanism VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) for superior quietness and agile performance; and the lens includes special lens elements arranged precisely to maintain high resolution performance from edge-to-edge and provide high image quality that is among the best of all all-in-one zoom lenses.
With an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 5.9” at the wide end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, this lens performs astonishingly well in its category when shooting up close. It is equipped with TAMRON’s proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism that supports stable photography even at ultra-telephoto focal lengths. And it features a unified Ø67mm filter size, the same as most other TAMRON lenses for mirrorless cameras.
