Before we move on to some more “serious” rumors I want to share this:
With such an important Sony announcement ahead, I obviously keep receiving some crazy or improbable rumors too.  It’s highly unlikely these rumors will become true…although from time to time it happens!  But let’s share some love for highly potential Clickbait Rumors :)

So this is what I got the last couple of days:

Source named “Zorro”:

“The Sony A7R MK3 will have a 63 megapixel sensor.
Sony will introduce a new flagship cine camera (still below the F65) with internal X-OCN raw recording in April 2017.”

The new compact camera WW620081 is the RX1RM3.

Improvements:
– Faster operation
– 4k Video
– IBIS
– Improved finder (similar to Leica Q quality)

Here are the first real full size images of the new Zeiss Batis 135mm f/2.8 FE lens! The lens will be announced tomorrow (April 5) at 11:00 Berlin time. The lens specs are exactly those we rumored starting back in August 2016 (Thanks to our sources!). This is the first Zeiss FF E-mount lens with APO design for minimal chromatic aberrations.

On April 23 Sony has a product announcement (FS5 successor coming for sure and probably a new High End E-mount camera too). And in that very moment I got this from the source who unveiled first the A6500 specs and 100mm STF lens info:

The new camera is probably around 20 MP.
Maybe not α7 series.

He also confirmed a while back that this is a high speed AF, high-speed continuous shooting, high ISO sensitivity. What we know from other sources is that it could have around 20fps, dual SD card, touchscreen, Joystick control, and A6500 menu system.

Sony published a new Sony sensor roadmap. And it contains first info about their new generation 100MP and 150MP medium Format sensors:

1) New 100MP 44x33mm Medium format Back Illuminated sensor would be announced in 2018 (for the kind of cameras like the Fuji GFX and X1D)
2) New 150MP 55x41mm Medium format Back Illuminated sensor would be announced in 2018 (for the kind of cameras like the Phase One 100XF).
3) New 150MP 55x41mm Medium format Back Illuminated monochrome sensor would be announced in 2018

About the new 100MP sensor made for Fuji and Hasselblad Sony writes:

There is no info about their Full Frame roadmap but the PDF file contains a lot of info on their industrials sensors. Some of that tech will find its way on FF sensors too I guess: http://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/products_en/news/detail/170301.pdf

My wel known stalking point to Sony:
I would recommend you using the large 55x41mm to launch a new medium format system camera.

Drew Geraci spotted that Sony A9 image on the A9 FB group! The camera is available for preorder for $6,799. Again…what a crazy day we have today :)

Sony Photographer Hidema Nakajima shared this image of the Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 GM FE lens with the following text:

I am introduce SONY new wide zoom lenses that I have assisted in developing. I had a NDA with SONY till March 31th. So, today April 1st I can say SONY FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM coming soon!

As you know today is April’s fools day :)
But that 16-35mm GM lens image looks so much real that it’s by far one of the best fakes I have ever seen on the web!
