Samyang announced a new 85mm f/1.4 autofocus lens for the Canon EF system. While it’s not official I think it’s highly likely that Samyang will release this lens for E-mount sometimes later. I think this lens woule be very welcome in the FE range. The current Sigma and Sony 85mm f/1.8 lenses are very big. The Samyang is lightweight and compact, weighs only 485g without lens caps and hood. Moreover the Samyang will cost $800 only!

With this firmware update the auto-focus performance of Tokina FíRIN 20mm F2 FE AF in AF-C mode at high-speed shooting (Hi+/Hi/Mid) when used with Sony α7III, Sony α7RIII, Sony α9 cameras will be improved (when used with Sony α9 auto-focus tracking will work only in Mechanical Shutter type AF-C mode). The E-mount version is rumored to ship in late Summer only but Takuya Ikeda shared some image samples shot with the Canon version using the MC-11 adapter on the Sony A9:

Zeiss is testing a new Batis 40mm f/2.0 CF FE lens. The lens will be announced between now and Photokina. These are the lens specs:

(SR5) Sony camera:
Sony will announce a new camera within 1-2 months. In Asia they registered a new model with code “WW213188”. We don’t know yet what it will be: A6700, A7sIII or a new compact camera?
Sony will also launch the long teased 400mm FE launch in August-September.
One more thing: Also Sigma, Samyang and other comapnies are likely to announce new lenses at Photokina in September and at the New York show in October.
It has corrected the phenomenon that the continuous shooting speed of some SIGMA interchangeable lenses with firmware Ver.2.00 decreases in certain combinations with some cameras.
