Impressive Sony A7II on sensor stabilization video test with SAL70400G and Minolta MD 135mm lens.

Share

On left 5 axis on and on right 5 axis off (Source: Mobile01).

Note: The A7II is shipping at Amazon Japan. Will ship from Tuesday on Amazon, BHphoto, Adorama, SonyStore!

Here are new Sony A7II stabilization tests:

First the bad news: It’s still not official but it really looks like manual focusing third-party lenses will indeed benefit from the 3 axis stabilization only. But maybe that’s something can easily upgrade in future if SAR reader will make some pressure on them :)

And now the good news: There are new stabilization test videos you have to check out. It really shows how impressive the difference is between having or not having the new A7II on sensor stabilization system. After watching this you will a hard time to buy any other A7 camera without the stabilization!

Amazing! Also the “limited” 3 axis stabilization on the [shoplink 31489 ebay]Minolta MD 135mm lens[/shoplink] does wonder. One more stabilization test has been posted on Mobile01. Justs croll down to the two (10pics series) of pictures taken with and without the stabilization.

What do you think? If you find more test feel free to post them all on our forum thread: sonyalphaforum.com/topic/135-sony-a7ii-steadyshot-test-la-ea2-sal70400g-ssm-ii/.

(SR0) Real world peace will come before you see this: Fake 12mm T/1.0 OSS FE lens :)

Share

Bildschirmfoto 2014-12-06 um 08.03.30

Latter 21 shared that pictures and specs of a 12mm T/1.0 FE lens (Source: Cnbeta). This is 99,99999% likely to be fake :)  If for some very unlikely reason Sony would  really release such a lens it owuld certainly be amazing. But having a T/1.0 aperture a 12mm (for FF) is something never seen before on this world. And with OSS?  Sorry guys, but this is as fake as it gets :)

Anyway, just for fun…here are the full fake specs:
Lens Mount Type : Sony E-mount (35mm full frame)
Lens Stabilization : Optical SteadyShot
Aperture (Max.) : T/1
Aperture (Min.) : T/22
Focal Length (35mm equivalent) : 12mm (35mm)
Aperture Blade : 15 blades (Circular aperture)(Stepless aperture)
Angle of View :122°(35mm)
Minimum Focus Distance : 7.88″ (AF/MF) 0.2m
Lens compensation : Equivalent to 3 steps
Filter Diameter : 125mm
Dimensions (Approx.) : 6-2/5″ × 7+1/10″ (142 x 180mm)
Lens Weight : 49.6 oz. (1405 g)

As you SR0 is not even in our rumor ranking :)

Reminder (SR = Sonyrumor):
SR1=probably fake rumor
SR2=rumor from unknown sources
SR3=50% chance it is correct
SR4=rumor from known sources
SR5=almost certainly correct!
