Hans:Got the Laowa 105mm/2.0 STF with E-Mount and tried it in an airshow in Gelnhausen, close to Frankfurt/Main, Germany, and in the Opel-Zoo, also close to Frankfurt. Album in my Flickr page here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskyAhFww I’m impressed by the quality of the lens; heavy, but good to balance on the Sony A7R Mark 2. Used it wide open. A convincing bokeh effect needs some training. IS in the A7R2 helps a lot, also the zoom in the finder to get sharp focus. Five stars for this lens.

Anonymous:Finally! Someone explains why LiveView gets hijacked whenever I use flash. This has been driving me nuts. I wanted to smash my A7ii against the wall but this video has changed my entire perspective and provided great tips on working with LiveView and flash. Nice behind the scenes portraits too! Fuji announces their new X-T2 (with Sony produced sensor). Do we need a flagship APS-C camera too?

A6300-vs-X-T2

Fuji announced their new APS-C flagship camera the Fuji X-T2 (specs here). Maybe not all of you know that the X-Trans sensor designed by Fuji is actually produced by Sony. And that’s why because of the recent Kumamoto disaster the X-T2 will ship in September only.

That said since the NEX-7 Sony did not make any so-called “flagship” top end APS-C E-mount model. Those are the kind of cameras that Fuji sells very well and I am wondering…

Should Sony make a high end APS-C E-mount camera?
