(SR3) Specs of the new A79 prototype camera!

Amazon (Click here) extended the SLT rebate auction until supplies last. Which means that they are clearing the stocks before the new A-mount camera generation will be announced. And finally we got some specs about one of the new cameras:

What you will read here are the data from a A79 prototype camera. I have been told that at this stage almost 90% of the specs should remain the same of the final production version. This is the A-mount mirrorless cameras that will be in Stock in early 2014 (don’t know when it will be announced). Here are the specs:

– 32mpix exmor hd chip (new generation)
– 4 gb buffer
– full mirrorless focus, 480 focus points
– evf 4mpix
– 8-14 fps/sec
– Magnesium body
– There will be a new vertical grip too (compatible also with current SLT cameras).
I have been told that also the look changed a tiny bit and it somehow reminds of the old [shoplink 19759 ebay]Minolta 700si (you can find them here on eBay)[/shoplink].

.

The 480 focus points are possible because of a new on sensor phase detection technology. I have been told it’s very fast and reliable. Simething that on paper should put into the shadow the new Canon 70D dual hybrid AF performance.

So how does this sound for you?

New Honami i1 pictures…

Phonearena posted new pics of the Honami smartphone that features a 1/2.3 inch sensor with Sony 28mm G lens. It will be announced on September 4th and this may be the day they will announce the “lens-camera” too.

The i1 smartphone also features a new JPEG engine. This one could be used by future Sony E-A mount cameras too!

(SR5) More info about the “bodyless” Lens-camera. And a good NEX-FF news.

As I told you end of last week Sony will soon release a revolutionary bodyless Lens camera. It’s basically a lens with integrated sensor and built-in WiFi and NFC. This will allow you to control the “Lens-Camera” via any mobile device. We got some more bits on the camera. There will be two of them:

1) One is the already mentioned “Lens-camera” with RX100MII sensor and  Zeiss lens.
2) The second model will feature a 10xzoom lens with 1/2,3 inch 18 megapixel CMOS sensor.

And I have good news for the E-mount folks. One of the trusted sources that shared info on this Lens-Camera confirmed that Sony is ready to launch the NEX-FF. I will post some specs and lens info soon. Stay tuned on SAR. Massive Sony rumors and news coming the next weeks!

(SR4) Sony developed three new Full Frame sensors. 24, 32 and 36 Megapixel.

The next generation A-mount and E-mount Full Frame cameras will feature a newly designed Sony Full Frame sensor. There are three different versions that have been developed: 24, 32 and 36 megapixel sensors. It’s still hard to say which camera will use which sensor…
The first camera suing the new sensor shoudl be the NEX-FF!

(SR5) And here comes the Hasslblad Luxurious Sony RX100 clone!

Hasselblad Stellar camera with Mahogany wood grip

Hassy isn’t done yet with luxurious clone of Sony stiff. After the Hasselblad Lunar, a l$7,000 luxurious version of the NEX-7 they are now going to launch the $1,600+ clone of the Sony RX100. It’s named “Hasselblad Stellar”. And certainly the price is “stellar” :)

The pictures have been leaked at Photorumors who writes:

“The official announcement will be on July 26th. The price is expected to be between $1,600-$3,200 depending on the selected materials”

You can see all the different versions on the images below. I don’t expect any imrpovement in terms of image quality. The hardware and lens is exactly the same of the RX100 (not even from the newer RX100MII.
