A solid Japanese source spotted the code for the new Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II lens! I don’t know if this lens will be announced on March 22 (don’t think so). It may be announced in April/May.

According to my sources Sony will announce the new 16-35mm f/4.0 FE lens on March 22.

On October 21 Sony announced the latest E-mount product, the new A7IV. Now, nearly five months after we might finally get something new! One usually reliable source told me that:
the first release of a new Sony product in 2022 will be on March 22nd.
This is coming from one reliable source only, so don’t take it as 100% solid rumor. I hope other sources can soon send me a confirmation (via anonymous contact box or via email). UDPATE: I got confirmation there is a new lens announcement!
From what I gathered this should be a new lens (or lenses). And not about a new camera. Like I told you before the ZV styled camera, the A7RV and later the A9III will be on market the second half of the year only. I am trying now to get the specs of the new lens(es) that could be announced on March 22.

About those rumors: I have no idea who sent them and 90% of the times they turn out to be wrong. But, it happened in the past that a couple of those were right. So I will post them today, and we all together can eventually keep track of this. If one of the sources turns out to be right than we will know we can trust it a bit more!

Not sure this info is about A9iii. Someone is going to sell a FF camera with 20-24MP. The readout is 1ms for 12-bit and 2ms for 14-bit stills.

The Chinese weibo account Xjrumo posted the image of the new Hasselblad X2D. What I wonder is if it uses the new Sony 126MB global shutter sensor that Sony announced last year. Would be stunning!
