This was quite obvious but the news here is that Zeiss made it official. The Milvus lens range will never be available for the A-mount folks. On their website Zeiss answered to SAR reader Merlin Franco:
As a Macbook owner I am quite pissed off by the fact the new Macbook PRO has no SD card slot anymore. Tim Cook explained that they got rid of it because it was “cumbersome”. You know Tim, people buys laptop because they need a portable device to carry around. But now you are forced to carry around many adapters too which makes things quite “cumbersome” :)
The real reason why Apple forces you to buy adapters (aka “dongles” in the video) got explained by that Apple engineer:

Sony registered a new camera with the code “WW158299” at the Chinese Miit agency.
What is it? We know the FS7II is going to be announced next week. But I am not sure that code is for the new E-mount camcorder. Usually when such a code gets registered it takes a few weeks or up to 2 months until the product gets announced.
The Belgium shop Creativeventures.be published the first image and the first specs of the new Sony FS7II E-mount camcorder:
– Electronic Variable ND (FS5)
– 10 assignable buttons
– New Lens Lock Ring (Lever Lock Type) No rotation of lens anymore to detach.
– MPEG 2 Cache Recording
– BT 2020 Color Space
– New Arm Grip Position and Adjustments
– New 1/4 Full HD LCD (960/540) and rod ergonomics improvements
This is the invitation for a Sony event in Barcelona. It says Sony will show you the last new products. This should be for the FS7II. But maybe Sony has a few more surprises too to show?
