A while ago Kogen (Click here) announced quite an innovative new kind of “zoom grip” for the Sony RX100 camera series. You can find them on [shoplink 38799 ebay]eBay Asia (worldwide shipment)[/shoplink] and at Amazon US (Click here).

Kogen writes:

We designed KOGEN ZOOM GRIP RX100 to hold more comfortably and tightly with an extra space for your 4th finger appeared by sliding down the ZOOM GRIP. It could avoid camera shake in night and slow shutter photography in comfort and style.

Coupled with the then-just-announced A7R2’s features, the new combination was so far beyond the A99 I’d been using as to finally convince me the time had come to go mirrorless. The promise of a premium optic, one that looks like a mini-Otus, with auto-focus and the nifty little OLED distance scale, not to mention optical stabilization, was irresistible.

This is a beautiful video from Philip Bloom! He writes:

Shot with a hardware modified Sony RX100 IV (with the infrared blocking filter removed) in 250fps 2 second burst mode with a 665nm filter.
Mostly shot from a moving vehicle creating a surreal study or a surreal city all set to one of my favourite pieces of music, Beethoven’s 7th Symphony 2nd Movement,
