Sony registered a new camera in Asia. It has the code “WW734234”.
This camera is equipped with Wi-Fi (5GHz / 2.4GHz) and Bluetooth.

For the record: We now have two registered codes for yet to be announced new cameras:

  1.  WW734234 with 5GHz WiFi (likely a new E-mount camera)
  2. WW356015 with 2.4 GHz WiFi (likely a new fixed lens model)

P.S.: The ILCE-7RM4A announced the other day is “WW447485” and “WW778752”, and the ILCE-7RM3A is “WW186333”.

[tminus t=”26-04-2021 16:00:00″ style=”TIE-fighter”]

After six months of hard work inside the intensive care unit I am now fully back on SAR! To celebrate that I will post a 99,999%% accurate rumor about the next Sony E-mount camera. I know what it is, I know when it’s coming….

Ahead of the full rumor publishing on Monday 15:00 London time I will post some tidbits about the new camera on my social networks on Facebook, Instagram and Discord.

P.S.: My private work inside the intensive care unit can be seen on my website andreapizzini.com, on my Instagram channel, Flickr and 500px. Feel free to follow me there!

P.P.S.: I know it’s annoying to make a teaser for a rumor and you are free to express your frustration in the comment system ;)

Sony a1 Review by an Actual Professional Still Photographer, by Patrick Murphy-Racey

Patrick writes:

I’ve spend the last two months shooting with the new SONY a1 camera body, so I’ve had a chance to put it through its paces by shooting multiple sports in all kinds of light, portrait assignments, a food job, basketball on strobes to test out the new 1/400th strobe sync, and video as well. This review is still photo specific as I hope to have another video in the future that talks only about how capable the Alpha 1 is for that medium as well. Put short, it’s an awesome box that is beyond capable for virtually any assignment you might have. this review is more than just a regurgitation about the specifications of the Sony a1 and delves more into real world usage with the camera in a variety of situations. A the time of publishing this, Sony has become aware of an issue with the eye sensor below the eyepiece when direct sunlight hits the back of the camera and causes it to malfunction. Sony is looking at this closely and is compiling data from Sony Pro Service Members about this issue and will be working on a solution. That is literally the only pain point about a1 that I am aware of. stay tuned to my channel for more information on this. Last, if you have received your a1 in the last month, please be aware there is already a firmware update available for it so be sure to download it and take care of that to get your best results. Sincerely yours, pm-r :)
