And he made it very clear that “brand-new lens designed for the short flange-back system should be available some time this year.” What’s also clear from this interview is that these lenses will be designed for the 20mm flange distance of the L-mount and than simply modified to fit the flange distance of Sony E-mount too

Yamaki believes the market will shrink further: “Maybe [down] 20 to 25% from now, that’s my guess.”

Sony extended the Sony USA camera and lens deals.  And that’s good also because today Nikon for the very first time dropped the price of the Z7 and Z6.

The Nikon Z7 now has exactly the same price as the Sony A7rIII and the Nikon Z6 now is $200 cheaper than the Sony A7III.

I see no reason why Sony would have to drop the price of the Sony A7III yet. The camera is a topseller (at Amazon) and demand is still high from what I heard.
