Nokishita just confirmed the new Sony RX100VII will be announced today. I guess the announcement time will be 3-4pm London time.

The soon-to-be-released Sony “RX100 VII” seems to be capable of blackout free continuous shooting at up to about 20 fps with AF performance equivalent to α9. 

According to the information provided at overseas dealers, the main features of the Sony “RX100 VII” are the 1.0 type stacked CMOS, the world’s fastest AF as a 1.0 type machine, BIONZ X, 24-200 mm f2.8-4.5 , Tilt-type touch panel liquid crystal capable of angle adjustment up to about 180 degrees and down to about 90 degrees, seems like 4K HDR video. The price in the UK is £ 1199.

We have just been told that within 24 hours (read the Sony China message) Sony will announce a new RX10 successor camera. UPDATE: The RX100VII will be announced this week while the RX10V will be announced later)  Stay tuned on SAR to follow the announcement!

Reminder: There seems to be another announcement in August for a new E-mount camera…

UPDATE_2: A bit unexpected but the RX announcement will take a bit linger than expected. The new RX100VII will be announced this week but not on July 23/24 as previously rumored.

Sony China wrote this message on Weibo: “which RX camera do you expect?”. This confirms a new RX camera will be announced within 24 hours. When the 35F1.8 and A7R4 were announced they posted the same kind of teaser 24 hours before the official launch!

UPDATE: This time Sony China was well ahead of the announcement. It will take 72 hours instead of the usual 24hours and then we will get the new RX100VII.
