Sony PRO marketing department scheduled an announcement for September 12th. This is very likely going to be the new E-mount 4K camcorder leaked a couple of days ago via Filmaker.cn (see image below). It has the same resolution, sensor size and codec as the [shoplink 28410 ebay]$30k F55 camera[/shoplink]. But the new camera will cost around $10,000 only and it’s said to be a C100 and C300 killer!

I got some more tidbits about a possible Sony Full Frame 45-46 Megapixel camera. I am yet not 100% sure but the camera could be released very early 2015. Don’t know if Sony will eventually show a prototype version at Photokina already. And from what I heard it’s an A-mount camera. But I would not exclude Sony will also use such a sensor on an RX…

A source told me that the 16-35mm Zeiss and the 28-135mm powerzoom Sony will be the only two FE lenses (with exception of the Loxia) released officially. Sony will also show three FE lens specs on their updated FE lens roadmap but these lenses will not be shown for “real” at Photokina and final pricing and full detailed specs will be announced months after Photokina.

One more thing: One of the rumored lenses should be the new 85mm Zeiss FE (SR4).

Today at 16.00 Berlin time Sony will announce the new QX30, QX1 E-mount module and likely two new E-mount lenses (16-35mm Zeiss and 28-135mm powerzoom). You can follow the event live (with live video streaming included!) here on SAR!

And as you see from these pictures there will be also a White, Gold and funny looking Pink versions of the current QX10. And for a short time Sony Store US itself leaked the price of the QX1 which will be $399 for the module only without kit lens.

The slide on top shows the pricing info of the next two new E-mount lenses (Click on the slide to enlarge). The new Zeiss 16-35mm f/4.0 OSS FE lens will cost 1350 Euro and ship end of October. The 28-135mm f/4.0 Powerzoom will cost 2500 Euro and ship beginning of December.

And here is the slide concerning the QX1. It has the same 20 Mp sensor from the “old” Sony A5000.
