Samyang just “re-confirmed” the 50mm f/1.2 development rumor they started over a year ago.

Let me catch up with two small Third Party Lens maker rumors:

1) Sigma Rumors says it’s likely Sigma will make Cine Lenses soon.

2) And Samyang itself confirmed they will deifnitely launch a new 50mm f/1.2 lens (via Photorumors).

I like Rokinon/Samyang lenses a lot and I recommend you the following two lenses for Alpha mount:

Finally Sony started to tease something about the upcoming new cameras. But the teaser is quite…unusual :) Sony China posted that image promising there will be a special new “lady-friendly” camera. It will be a cybershot camera ideal for taking self portraits that should work just like the [shoplink 27808 ebay]Casio TR-150 (here on eBay)[/shoplink].

You should not laugh at it. The market for “lady-friendly” cameras is growing fast in Asia!

An anonymous source told me that Sony is about to announce a whole bunch of new A and E-mount lenses for the Photokina show in September. But he also pointed out that most of these lenses will be native E-mounts.

In the past months I posted some lens info like the 16-35mm f/4,0 FE Zeiss, 24-105mm A-mount, the fast FE prime, the four (or five) manual focusing FE Zeiss and so on. I hope to have a SR5 confirmed list of the new lenses soon.

Sony is the worldwide leader of the camera sensor market and therefore it will not be a surprise if the upcoming new iPhone 6 will use that brand new Sony sensor: a 13 Megapixel 1/2.3″ exmor sensor which is considerably larger than the iPhone 5s Sony 8 Megapixel 1/3.2” sensor.

Just a hint in the very deep future: Every week I do check Sony patents and I found many of “lytro alike” patents for different sensor size (latest patent can be read here). I am pretty sure one day an iPhone will use such a sensor!

Last month a source told me that Sony will soon release a new “QX camera model featuring an impressive 30x zoom” (article here). Well, it seems like our source was correct! The Korean agency RRA just registered the new QX30 camera. There is also a new A5100 which we reported to be registered at the Indonesian agency a couple of weeks ago.

The pattern is now pretty clear and these are the first devices that will almost certainly feature the new Sony curved sensor tech:

1) The 2/3 inch 22 Megpaixel curved sensor with f/1.2 lens will be used by the next Xperia Z3X. The images of the camera have been leaked by Digi-wo.com.

2) The Full Frame RX (RX2?) will feature a Full Frame curved sensor and a very compact 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss lens. it will become the most compact Full Frame ever made.

Both will hit the market in early 2015!

Last week I reported about the registration of a new Sony System Camera at the Indonesian agency Postel. The camera is registered with the code “WW024382” which usually defines a Full Frame camera.

An anonymous source said that this is the cheap entry level FF E-mount camera.

I am yet not sure about the rumor but like I told you before Sony indeed published a patent describing such a camera. And here is the official design:
